The Global Thinking Annual Event

Global Thinking Foundation hosts its most prestigious Annual Event in Milan. Each year this event brings together industry professionals, young entrepreneurs, students, scholars, and activists under the auspices of networking & scholastic discussion of a valuable and timely financial topic. Annual Events bring together industry professionals and scholars to discuss preeminent financial topics, and present scholarship awards to innovative & rising young students. Speakers in previous years have included Robert Rubenstein, Gregorio DeFelice, and Alan Kruger.

Our third annual event was held on the 12th of November 2019, in Milan celebrating digital innovation and the role gender will play in this evolution. Our Founder, and global President, Claudia Segre, introduced the attendees to our Foundation’s work and progress over the last year in supporting financial literacy & gender equality efforts. President Claudia Segre reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 4, 5, and 8, and introduced our forward thinking initiatives to incorporate SDG’s 9, 10, 11, and 12 into our current and future work.

Over 150 attendees were engaged in discussions and a panel on “Rethinking Artificial Intelligence and Fintech for Sustainable & Inclusive Growth.” To introduce this 2020 focus for the foundation, we had speaker, Paolo Sironi, IBM Global Fintech Thought Leader, discuss AI, Fintech, and a sustainable future. Paolo Sironi’s speech was followed by a roundtable panel that included lawyers Pietro Negri & Licia Garotti, and Professors Maurizio Carta & Valentina Bosetti. Our 2019 event was brought to a conclusion by the Director of Staff at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Dr. Monica Parrella.
